I just love to learn ❤️ This weekend at See to C, we dove deep into assessing the person in front of us — including clients with hypermobility, back issues, and other individual concerns. That is really the heart of the work. See the client. Understand what they need. Build the program around them. Then know how and when to progress the work so they continue getting stronger. As an OB-GYN PA and Classical Pilates teacher, I have seen firsthand how connected the body truly is. Low back discomfort, hip pain, pelvic floor concerns, posture, and core weakness are often talked about as separate problems, but the body does not work in separate pieces. That understanding is one of the reasons I was drawn to Joseph Pilates' method. It is a complete system of exercises designed to strengthen and support the entire body—not just one area at a time. Hi, I’m Kayla. I am the owner of Karam Pilates, but before I was opening a studio, I was just a person trying to figure out how to feel good in my own body again. I have had two C-sections, two hip surgeries, and I live with Crohn’s disease. I’ve also spent years working in medicine as a Physician Assistant, with a background in women’s health and orthopedic surgery. So I have seen the body from both sides — professionally and personally. Pilates became the thing that helped it all click for me. It helped me build strength, feel more connected, and move with more control. That is why I wanted to bring a full Classical Pilates studio to Lexington — one that uses the complete system of apparatus and teaches the method with care, precision, and personal attention. Not because Lexington needed another fitness trend, but because I believe people deserve to be taught in a way that respects their body, their story, and what they are trying to feel strong enough to do in real life.
